For B2B businesses, LinkedIn is an invaluable tool to increase brand awareness, drive traffic to your website and ultimately help you win more clients.
As well as building your own “personal brand” on LinkedIn, you should also try to get as many of your connections to like your Company Page, where you can promote your products and services without feeling like one of those annoying sales guys who’s constantly pushing their products down your throat!
Below, we’ve put together a super-simple guide to inviting your connections to LinkedIn.
Find your company page
Log into your LinkedIn profile and head to your company page.
If you can’t find it, click on your profile picture in the LinkedIn Toolbar, and it should come up.
If it doesn’t, you might not be an editor or admin of your page and you’ll need to ask a colleague to give you access.
Invite connections
Once you’ve done that, click on Admin tools and then Invite Connections.
Note that this is a new feature rolling out to LinkedIn users so if it’s not there for you yet, it’ll be coming soon.
Click on Invite Connections, and you’ll be able to ask up to 50 connections per day to like your page.
You’ll have to scroll through your list and invite them individually, so be selective and only invite people you think would be genuinely interested in your profile and content.
Wait for LinkedIn fame
Every person you invite will receive a message in their My Network inbox, asking them if they want to like your page.
Most people will click Accept without realising, especially if they receive tons of connection requests, so it’s an easy way to get your content on potential customer’s news feeds.
Remember to update your company page regularly with fresh, engaging content, and invite connections every day.
The current limit is 50, so if you’ve got 5,000 connections, it’ll take you 100 days to invite them all.
But remember that not every connection will be interested.
Oh, and think about the timing of your invites.
Invite on a Monday morning for maximum engagement, especially if you’re desperate for a particular connection to see your content!
